NWAIS Makerspace Online Community
Makerspaces are popping up in schools across the country. These collaborative spaces allow students to gain practical hands-on experience with new technologies and innovative processes for design and fabrication. Next Generation Science Standards emphasize critical thinking, creativity and 21st century skills. Makerspaces provide hands-on, creative ways to build these skills through designing, experimenting, building, and inventing.
During this year's NWAIS Fellowship project, teachers from various schools will discover and share ways the maker movement can transform education in NWAIS schools. Become an active part in the conversation about makerspaces by subscribing to our online community!
